Legendary Film Star Glenn Ford dies at age 90. I loved Glenn in Blackboard Jungle (1955), and Gilda (1946). Glenn was discovered in 1939. Got his first big break with the help of Bette Davis in Stolen Life (love this movie too). However, he became an acclaimed star after his legendary performance in film noir Gilda with Rita Hayworth. He had a 50 year career in film acting in 100 excellent movies. He served our country in World War II, and served as reserve military officer during the Vietnam War. Retired in 1991 at the ripe age of 79! Most memorable quote:
” People laugh when I say I’m not an actor, but I’m not, I play myself.” And that’s why he was so good at what he did. You’ll be missed Glenn thanks for the memories!
