“ was rated #1 movie ever by British MP’s. The survey was conducted on 175 MP’s some being liberal and others conservative. It is like Rick (Humphrey Bogart) said in the movie, “The beginning of a beautiful friendship.” Finally both liberals and conservatives have some common ground. And the fact that this movie is a wartime flick is even more amazing that both groups find it to be “the best film of all time.” “Star Wars” came in second.
These two movies have a lot to do with fighting an enemy, sacrifice, and victory. It seems to me that in the military there is neither Liberal nor Conservative, there is, however, resolve in both parties to fulfill a mission for the sake of the greater good. Maybe that is why they both find this timeless masterpiece to be the greatest film to grace the movie screens. Something to think about.
