Dustin Hoffman was a young stud in this 1967 movie about a college graduate who wanders aimlessly through life, while having an affair with a hot older woman, Mrs Robinson, played by Ann Bancroft. Later he falls in love with the daughter, Elaine, played by Katherine Ross. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll love this film. Terrific musical score by Simon And Garfunkel.

Based on the novel, “The Graduate” by Charles Webb.

Webb inked a deal in 2006 to write a sequel to The Graduate titled Home School, and is said to take place ten years after the end of the the first novel. Who can play Benjamin Braddock like Hoffman? I think Matthew Broderick might do a decent job. What do you think?

Director: Mike Nichols
Screenplay: Calder Willinham & Buck Henry
