This totally freaked me out. See this 1950′s commercial with The Flintstones promoting cigarette smoking. Can you imagine a cartoon today pushing Cigarette smoking? Apparently, it wasn’t a problem back in the fifties.
Ah, but notice how they let the ladies do “men’s work,” while they puffed away. I guess some things were moving forward. I wonder how many kids started to smoke on account of Fred and Barney? The 50′s were strange times indeed.
