Do you think Archie was ahead of his day or were these the sentiments of most post-Depression, & World War II Americans? Archie had a funny view of life, and we really can’t understand a lot of his ignorance unless we look through the prism of that time in history. But when Archie talked about politics, he made a lot of sense. The left openly engages in what is wrong with the right, but when the right engages in what is wrong with the left, it’s not “in vogue.” In fact, many are shunned. I think it’s time the right become comfortable with what they believe in and articulate it without shame.
Archie had issues with race which eventually he worked out, but he never deviated from his principles when it came to the country. He spoke his political mind without shame, or fear and in fact, made us all laugh about it. Enjoy the clip.
