The thinnest plate at home makes its debut in LY Steel
Recently, the Heat Treatment Line of LY Steel Hot Strip Mill (2250mm) succeeded in producing more than 30 tons of 4mm steel sheet. After straightening, the unflatness falls below 4mm/m. The 4mm steel sheet is the thinnest one that domestic hot treatment line can yield.
Hot Strip Mill (2250mm) of LY Steel is the first domestic production line to combine the conventional hot rolling process with heat treatment. The line not only positively meets the users’ needs, but also continuously improves the professional standard of hot treatment. Furthermore, after producing the steel plates over 6mm in a short period of time, the people here carry out the scientific and technical research quite actively. Through carefully commissioning and advancing the process, the line successfully produced 4mm steel sheet, of which the yield strength, tensile strength, elongation etc. reach high indexes. After straightening, the plate is in full compliance with customers’ requirements.
