LY Steel’s an environmental protection technology being appraised by experts
On March 31, the technological achievement “Study and Application on Sealing Technology and Equipment of Sinter Cooling Fluid” was appraised by Yu Yongfu and other academicians of China Engineering Academy, who were organized by Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
During the promotion of shifts from common to quality steels, from simplified to diversified flat products, the issue of how to effectively lower comprehensive energy consumption of sintering process has always been the concern to LY Steel. In 2008, LY Steel, together with CIE and the Central South University applied for major projects of energy saving and emission reduction technology in Hunan, which was approved by Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology. And, the circular cooler adopting sinter cooling liquid for sealing, which was LY’s major pilot project for energy saving and emission reduction, was officially put into operation in September 2009.
